Plasmanet Version 8.0 is launched
Plasmanet To Demonstrate Effective And Measurable Contact Centre Communications At Call Centre Expo 2008Stand G9, 16th – 17th September, NEC BirminghamPlasmanet, developers of advanced software-based communications solutions, today announced it will be demonstrating how it has enabled its customers, including Gentoo, to streamline internal communications in the contact centre at Call Centre Expo 2008. Visitors to stand G9 will also be able to view Plasmanet’s newly developed Version 8.0 internal communications software, which boasts full tracking of communications content and a newly designed front end.
Call Centre Expo 2008 visitors will be able to observe a demonstration of Plasmanet Version 8.0, including the communication tracking function, which enables an authorised user to measure and compare results from individual campaigns or the entire strategy over a period of time. For example, if the organisation issues a health and safety regulations update, Plasmanet Version 8.0 enables this news to be broadcast as a desktop pop-up message. The message could instruct employees to complete a questionnaire located on the Intranet to say that they have read and understand the changes. These responses can then be recorded, tracked and measured.
“The challenge many contact centres face when executing an internal communications strategy is ensuring that the content is readily accessible, appropriate for the intended purpose and targets the right people in a timely manner,” comments Sales Manager at Plasmanet, Ray Edun. “However, measuring the effectiveness of that strategy or one-off campaign is crucial to improving communications and ensuring employees, whether on-site or off, are fully informed, engaged and motivated.”
Says Edun, “By encouraging staff to communicate with others, expand their learning curve through interaction and contribute back to the business, it will have a positive impact on important issues such as attrition and productivity.”
The newly designed drag-and-drop front-end delivers intuitive functionality that is aligned with and tailored to individual business objectives. It is particularly beneficial to users with limited time and technical knowledge, delivering a cost effective execution of communications and enabling the user to concentrate on content and result rather than the process.
Plasmanet Version 8.0 is also able to seamlessly integrate with other third party applications and sources, including the Microsoft Office suite, Intranet, television and Internet, or applications where critical business information or data is held.
Plasmanet’s technology aggregates and displays business information across the contact centre via any electronic channel or device, including plasma/LCD screens, PC desktops, mobile telephones and PDAs. Paul Sandersfield, the Network Operations Manager at Gentoo Group, a long-term customer using Plasmanet’s internal communications software comments, “Plasmanet’s software ensures our agents and supervisors are presented with KPI statistics and vital business information in real-time, motivating them to perform to the highest standard and provide the very best quality of service.”In addition, visitors will be invited to take part in one of five Plasmanet ‘discovery initiatives’ to create and manage agent communications, and to track and measure their effectiveness. It will be an opportunity for users to implement internal communications best practice, best use of the tools and help them get procedures in place to manage its day to day running.
