What are the basic technical and network requirements I need to support Plasmanet?
Every installation is different, and depends on your scope of work, existing hardware and network configuration. However, there are some basic requirements:
Server specification:
• Processor P4/Xeon, P4, Core Duo, P4M or equivalent.
• TCP/IP Network 10 / 100 / 1000 Mb/s (10Mb/s 100Mb/s 1GB/s) or WI-FI 11b or g
• Memory 2 GB
• Page File (Swap) 3 x physical memory, max 2.3GB
• Free Disk Space 80GB RAID
• Devices CD-ROM / DVD required for copying large video files
• OS Windows / XP Professional / Linux
• Power Supply 300W
Minimal Plasmanet specification:
• Client player PC
• Minimum 600 MHz processor
• 256 MB RAM
• No disk
For optimal Plasmanet performance:
• P IV 2.66GHz processor with 256K cache
• Good quality graphics processor on motherboard or add in PCI express card
• Ram 1GB
• Disk space 40GB (or greater, depending on file sizes)
• OS - Windows XP, Linux or Apple Mac
• Windows Media player V7 or higher
• Mozilla or Microsoft internet Explorer 5.5 or higher required
• Macromedia Flash 7 Player (or higher) required
TV card:
• An Exterity plug-in allows us to get IPTV through the network with no additional hardware required at the player end.
• If required, this must be the Hauppauge Win TV PCI or USB TV card. This range supports a variety of inputs such as live Composite Video, satellite TV, Freeview. Other hardware is subject to Plasmanet approval/certification process.
• Minimum requirement is 800MHz 256MB RAM, 20 GB hard drive, XP.

What content can I play using Plasmanet?
Plasmanet is a channel that allows you to compose and distribute any content you want to almost any display. Using the Plasmanet interface you can load the following content:
• PowerPoint presentations (converted to Flash)
• stream live TV (digital and analogue)
• stream live web casts
• stream data from sources such as database, RSS, call switches
• DVD movies and still images.
Is there any content or application that Plasmanet cannot support?
Plasmanet can manage the majority of applications. In fact, we have never been unable to deliver against a customer’s requirement. We may need to create a bespoke application that supports a particularly unusual requirement, or that handles unique data from your systems. Our approach to our work is developmental and innovative. We’re always happy for the opportunity to design a solution for your unique challenge
How can I be sure that all the content will be brand consistent?
You can design your own templates and all content will sit within these. Therefore every slide type will contain your brand assets in the appropriate context and layout, for example a contact centre template to display campaign and call data. Plasmanet can create these for you, or you may wish to share that task with your brand or internal comms agency to ensure consistency and integration.
