Chelsea Building Society

The challenge

Chelsea Building Society is one of the top ten UK Building Societies, providing savings, investments and mortgage services through over 34 regional branches around the UK

The requirement was to implement a system to fully integrate communications throughout their existing Head Office and new contact centre, located nearby.

The challenge was to create a single solution, enabling different business units to receive their own business critical data, while at the same time allowing the flow of corporate information throughout the site, without disruption.

The solution

Plasmanet’s open source strategy enabled the Client to work closely with us to develop a fully bespoke communications channel solution.

The result was the development and installation of an integrated contact centre and internal communications channel, comprising software, slide template development, screens and an on-going system support agreement.

12 user groups, including the central internal comms team, use the standard Plasmanet interface to manage communications. This enables information to be delivered separately to each of their business units, as well as broadly throughout the Head Office and contact centre sites.

Administrator and approval streams ensure that all content is appropriate and brand consistent.

Data and multi-media content from various sources is layered onto branded template slides, which are divided into sections. Each slide section is able to receive data from different sources, and transmit it in different formats.

This ensures that business critical data is delivered continuously to one section of the screen, while other messaging is streamed to another, without disrupting the flow or impact of either message. In the contact centre, this enables live call data to be continuously shown as an animated graphic at the right of the screen, while corporate messaging loops at the left of the screen, and personal messages run on a ticker across the bottom of the screen.

The ability to quickly and simply direct messages through a complex communication matrix has already paid dividends for our Client. Less than 18 months after installation, PlasmaNet is discussing roll-out to the regional branches with the Client
